As an important component of hydraulic system, hydraulic linear actuator realizes mechanical movement by utilizing liquid pressure and is widely used in industrial automation, construction engineering, agricultural machinery, aerospace and other fields. Hydraulic linear actuator mainly consists of the following basic components:
Hydraulic cylinder: The hydraulic cylinder is the main part of the hydraulic linear actuator. It includes a sealed tube and a movable piston. The piston separates the internal space of the hydraulic cylinder into two working chambers, namely the extension working chamber (Rod Side) and the retraction working chamber (Cap Side).
Piston: The piston is a cylindrical component fixed in the hydraulic cylinder. Its diameter is usually slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the hydraulic cylinder to ensure that it can slide along the cylinder body without leakage during movement. The piston is usually connected to the piston rod (Piston Rod) by threads or pins, and the piston rod extends or retracts to the outside of the hydraulic cylinder to complete the linear movement.
Piston Rod: The piston rod is the part that connects the piston. It extends from the end cap of the hydraulic cylinder or the head of the cylinder body and transmits hydraulic pressure to the external load. The diameter and material selection of the piston rod are determined according to the application requirements and load-bearing capacity. Generally, it bears tension or pressure during movement.
Seals: The seals inside the hydraulic cylinder also play a key role in the work. They prevent hydraulic oil leakage and ensure the sealing of the piston during movement. Seals are usually made of wear-resistant rubber or elastic plastic, which can maintain stable sealing performance under high pressure and frequent movement.
